Marietta and Isabella walked 160km!
Carolina sings with us but it was a wonderful surprise when her mother and sister offered to do a ‘March’ raising money for Riverside Opera as their chosen Charity
What a challenge! They joined 45,000 other people on a 160km trek through Holland. The International Four Day Marches, Nijmegen (or Vierdaagse) is the largest Marching event in the world! We were thrilled to receive over £2,700 from them. A HUGE thank you to Marietta and Isabella! |
Aida Grand March - Sponsored Walk
AIDA is the Grandest of Operas and we planned a truly EPIC production in March 2011. So the chorus had its first Grand March in preparation in early June 2010 with a Sponsored Walk around Richmond Park. A fabulous day! Thank you to everyone who took part and especially to everyone who sponsored us! The money raised from this event went directly towards the costs for this exciting production. We hope that you enjoyed being part of our success.
Riverside Opera makes every effort to be self-supporting. Grand Opera is one of the most expensive art forms and we need to generate new funds each year. We aim to stage one full opera annually and we achieve this with the help of enthusiastically supported fund-raising events and concerts, our Friends scheme, generous donations and sponsorship.

Donations
Donations are always gratefully received and can be given specifically to cover the cost of particular aspects of the forthcoming production. For example supporting individual principals or members of the orchestra, the cost of costume hire or particular props & furniture, etc.
